Video: Flight over the Libya Montes region (Quicktime, high-res)
The video shows a simulated flight over the Libya Montes region, which lies south the Isidis Planitia impact basin. The video was generated from data gathered by the DLR (German Aerospace Center)-operated high resolution stereo camera (HRSC) onboard ESA's Mars Express. The stereo imaging capabilities of the HRSC make the computation of digital land models and the generation of virtual overflights/flyovers over the Mars surface possible.
