During the 2nd SpaceLife Students' Workshop "Progress Reports" on March, 14 - 18, 2011 at the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel, 21 students of the SpaceLife Program presented their recent results and future work required.
A committee, consisting of five doctoral supervisors, evaluated each report according to several criteria (content, media design, and presentation performance). The best rated presentation was rewarded a prize money of 250, - € and a certificate.
The committee identified several very good presentations; nevertheless there was one clear winner:
The winner of the "Best Presentation Award": Arif A. Chishtiwith Dr. Christine Hellweg.
Arif A. Chishti convinced the jury with a well-structured work as well as with clearly defined objectives and results presented in a brisk and enthralling way. Dr. Christine Hellweg, the coordinator of the SpaceLife Research School, handed over the “Best Presentation Award” to the winner.
During the demanding Workshop all participants had the opportunity to visit the Zoological Museum of Kiel where the students immediately found relation to their work. A delicious buffet completed the visit.

A thoroughly successful workshop.
