VenueVenue of the Symposium in 2009 is the University of Bonn in the "Universitatsclub".
ObjectivesThe ELGRA Symposium is intended as a forum for scientific and technical research in microgravity. Abstracts in the fields of life and physical sciences, material sciences, fluid physics, cell, animal, plant and human physiology as well as biotechnology are welcome. Besides these general subjects the Symposium focuses also on the next topics:
Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-UniversitätSocial ProgramThe social program of the symposium will include a reception at the town hall of Bonn, the possibility to visit a concert of the Beethovenfest, and an evening cruise on the river Rhine. A trip to the German Aerospace Center in Cologne will also be offered, including a visit of the research facilities of DLR and the European Astronaut Center.
Call for AbstractsThe Elgra meeting in 2009 offers the possibility to present research on all topics from the fields of science under altered gravity conditions (microgravity, hypergravity and simulations). Oral presentations and poster sessions will be performed. Sufficient time will be reserved for discussions on present research activities and future science perspectives.
