Training in Alertness Management

A professional driver must have the skills to prevent fatigue as well as to cope with fatigue when it occurs while driving. This requires knowledge about the causes of fatigue and skills to prevent it. The training program "SAFE-T" has been developed to train professional vehicle drivers and transport managers in alertness management. SAFE-T is based on psychological concepts. Methods from behavioral psychology are used to achieve stable changes in behavior.

The training has two main parts:

  1. Training of professional vehicle drivers in alertness management
  2. Coaching of transport managers using the fatigue prediction program "Alert"

Safe-T can be used in different transport modes (truck, bus and train).
