Clinostats, which are programmable and temperature controlled, enable investigations and multi-generation experiments with e.g. cell cultures or small aquatic systems in simulated weightlessness. Activation and fixation of the samples during rotation is possible. Furthermore, samples can be exposed to a defined gas atmosphere.
