The Profile Measuring Instrument PMV on space probes Venera 15 and16 PMV was an infrared Fourier Transform Spectrometer of Michelson Interferometer type onboard the two Soviet deep space missions “Venera-15” and “Venera-16” launched successfully in 1983.
