The working group Photogrammetry deals mainly with solving the problem of deriving 3D-informations from multiple images, the visualization of the 3D-point clouds in interactive software solutions and the generation of True-Orthoimages based on digital surface models. Another task is the evaluation and validation of different experimental sensor systems and their configurations of image data acquisition. For this subject the main focus is on the development of methods for automated orientation of sensor systems and automated image interpretation without approximate exterior and/or interior orientation data.

research and development

- Orientation of image data without intrinsic camera parameters and/or exterior orientation data

- Data fusion of different image sensors

- Evaluation/validation of different image sensor concepts (vertical and oblique image data) and configurations  of image data acquisition

- digital surface modelling, true orthophoto rectification, full 3D-point extraction and generation of interactive worlds in 2.5 and 3D
