OIS-Successeros

OIS

The results of project OIS form a complete value-added chain, which can be mapped on a full spectrum beginning with new defined scientific tasks of basic research and application-oriented focus and ending with development of prototypes (pre-stadium) of OIS components. Basics were created for the following potential utilizations:

  • The OIS demonstrator should be used as scientific technological tool for research and development on fields of optical sensors (including scientific data processing of traffic flows) and telematics (acquisition of microscopic traffic parameters).
  • The OIS demonstrator should be refined as technological prototype (verification for optimization of the entire system chain).
  • Modules of OIS demonstrator should be refined as stand-alone units / prototypes for commercial exploitations.

These mentioned potential utilizations of the OIS demonstrator should be adapted, transformed and subdivided in many different cases. There are different drafts for possible projects such as EVGO (Elicitation and Provision of Traffic Parameters with improved Accuracy, Consistence and Objectivity.), AEVD (Autonomous Mobile Acquisition of Traffic Data.), opTRANS ( Innovative Optical Traffic Analysis System.) or DELIOS ( Peripheral System Assembly of Traffic Lights by Optical Acquisition of Traffic Data and Volume of Traffic Dependent Controlling.).

The consortiums of possible projects basing on results of OIS will be formed from the staff of OIS partners; memberships depend on interest and objectives of OIS partners.
