ICAM-2009 in Rastatt

The International Conference on Alpine Meteorology (ICAM) is having its 30th realisation from 11-15 May 2009 in the spacious and nicely situated Badner Halle close to the city centre of Rastatt, Germany. DLR-IPA organizes the event in conjunction with Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD).

EULAG Model Users' Workshop


6-10 October 2008 in Bad Tölz, Germany
The main idea of this workshop is to provide a forum to exchange information and ideas among EULAG users. For users and other colleagues interested to deepen their knowledge of EULAG, we offer five tutorials covering essential physical, mathematical and numerical aspects of EULAG. As part of the priority program of German Science Foundation (DFG) "MetStröm" we plan a session about aspects of multi-scale numerical simulations of geophysical flows open for all interested scientists working in this area of research.

First CEAS European Air and Space Conference Century Perspectives


10-13 September 2007 in Berlin, Germany
During the First CEAS European Air and Space Conference Century Perspectives, a Plenary Session and a Special Session (Workshop) took place dealing with the impact of aircraft emissions on climate and possible mitigation options. This page contains links to the pdf-files of the presentations. The purpose of the sessions was to inform the aviation community in compact form about the recent IPCC findings on global climate change, and the need for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in general in the coming decades, the aviation contributions to climate change, the mitigations options, the open questions and strategies to answer them, and ongoing research and developments which have the goal to reduce aviation’s climate impact.

QUANTIFY Summer School

International Conference on Transport, Atmosphere and Climate
