Introduction to Astronomical Photometry by Edwin Budding and Osman Demircan This book is mainly dedicated to photometry and to binary stars as typical photometrical targets. Exoplanets are not more than a foot note in this book, which was published in 2007 in a second edition. A very valuable part maybe the detailed bibliographical notes and the reference list at the end of each main chapter. Especially the bibliographical notes are useful to find literature at the appropriate level of interest and background.
	Transiting Exoplanets by Carole Haswell Cambridge University Press 2010 335 pages, ISBN 978-0-521-19183-8 This book presents the essential physics and methodology about transiting planets. It is an excellent start to understand the fast growing field of exoplanets, especially the transit method. Emphasis is given on the selection and the quality of the figures and pictures supporting the message of the text book. Each chapter is followed by excercises where the detailed solutions are given in the appendix. Therefore the book may be used for self study as well as for preparing for examinations.
