The mission of the Helmholtz Research School on Security Technologies is to contribute to civil security by training and education of excellent young researchers in several complementary technological fields of highest importance for global security. Interdisciplinary research projects integrate different scientific and technological fields to close the gap between application-driven security implementation and fundamental research. The main objectives of the Research School are:
Training and education will be done in high-level research groups at the TUB and at DLR. The research groups have a strong background in physics, optical and electrical engineering, information and communication technologies. The members of the scientific supervising and advisory board have been active in different fields of security technologies for many years. This ensures excellent research and education as well as professional training towards practical implementations.
