The central research topics regarding the social distribution of security relevant measures and technologies are technology acceptance and society-driven dynamics of technological innovations.

  •  Basic Courses in physics, electrical engineering and information technology (mandatory): qualify doctoral students for an interdisciplinary research work and an integrated project approach

  • Introductory Lectures on security technologies (mandatory): familiarize the students with the diverse aspects of civil security

  • Advanced Lectures on security technologies (mandatory):  provide the students with an in depth understanding of optical and photonic security systems and information and communication technologies

  • Student Seminar (mandatory):  presentation of research project, presentation of original papers/scientific topics by the students, training of presentation techniques, identify and present the ethical, legal and social aspects of their research with respect to civil security

  • Soft Skill Training organized by HGF (mandatory)
