This workshop continues a series of successful workshops held in Germany over the past years since 1992 under the auspices of the Deutsche Geophysikalische Gesellschaft. This year the Helmholtz Alliance "Planetary Evolution and Life" supports the meeting as well. The last workshops have been held in Münster (2010), Frankfurt/Main (2008), Katlenburg-Lindau (2006) and Hamburg (2004).
The main goals of the workshop are to bring together the German geodynamic community involved in lithospheric processes and mantle dynamics of terrestrial bodies and to provide a forum for in-depth discussion on scientific and technical issues in geodynamic modelling. Furthermore, the interaction between different research groups as well as between students (master and PhD students) and established scientists will be fostered.
The workshop takes place from September 10th - 12th 2012 in Wandlitz close to Berlin. A social event is planned for the evening of September 9th. A block reservation (max. 60 attendees) has been made in the SeePark Hotel Wandlitz, where the workshop will take place. The price for a single room will be 59,45€ and for a double room 97,50€ per night. The registration fee is 158€ and includes meals and coffee breaks for all three days.
