DLR - Project Management - The Project Management Agency

The Projektträger im Deutschen Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (PT-DLR, Project Management Agency – part of the German Aerospace Center) is a research funding organisation supporting the Federal Ministry of Education and Reserach (BMBF) and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), along with other Federal Ministries, in the implementation of programme-related project funding. Bearing in mind the necessity and the importance of research and development for the science and business location Germany, the PT-DLR is committed to the interests of the community. It carries out the specifications of its principals competently and swiftly, thus supporting the acquisition and utilisation of scientific knowledge and technological progress.

Our scope of services includes the following:

• Conceptual work
  The creation of position papers on the state of the art of science and technology, the conception of funding foci, the preparation and determination of promotional measures, consulting.
  
  
• Controlling
  Professional and administrative project tracking, interim and success appraisal, financial control.
  
  
• Evaluation
  External assessments of applications, evaluation of funding concepts, staging of seminars.
  
  
• General Management
  Project coordination, branch office function, accompanying measures, PR work, organisation and moderation of major events and specialist conferences.
  
  
• EU-wide and international cooperation
  Support of the BMBF in the conceptual and organisational design of cross-border research funding.
