The quality of DLR’s products and services is an essential factor in terms of its efficiency.

Products and services should conform to our customers’ expectations, requirements and should be sustainable. In this context, the satisfaction of associates, partners and customers as well as the employees’ commitment are our basis and benchmark.

In addition, institutes and establishments are trusted partners and customers within DLR.

The DLR Quality Management System consists of:

  • a quality policy that is decided upon by the DLR Executive Board,
  • the organizational structure of the DLR quality management with its framework and the subsystems of its institutes/establishments
  • the DLR Quality Management-Manual (QMH) and the QMHs of the institutes/establishments,
  • the Quality Representatives (QBs) and the Permanent Working Group of Quality Representatives within DLR,
  • audits to validate the consistency of the described processes with actual practice,
  • the implementation of product assurance requirements and performance verification in projects,
  • the application of existing standard systems (e.g. DIN, EN, ISO, EASA, ECSS etc.).
