Cross-Functional and Special Tasks

Through our membership in national and international boards (e.g. ECSS, ESA), which deal with spaceflight quality assurance, we are actively involved in the development of relevant quality standards. With our own projects, we continuously participate in the enhancement of product assurance management as follows:

• Concerning the quality assurance promotion in space projects, the Project Support Division initiates and completely manages internal projects, e.g. procedures and methods concerning quality certification within the verification process.
  
  
• Internal process instructions development, specifications and QM-tools
  
  
• Coordination of DLR-product assurance requirements with existing standards of ESA/ECSS, NASA, GUS, and industry.
