On January 23rd, 2014 the DLR Quality Prize was awarded in the course of the DLR New Year’s Meeting in Berlin.
Essential criteria for the selection of the laureates are excellent performance regarding quality management matters as well as specific merits and initiative with respect to implementation and evaluation of quality management systems in institutes and establishments. This year’s laureates are Mr. Jan Sascha Below from the Object Management Department at the Stuttgart site and Mr. Stephan Lehner from the Air Transportation Systems Institute in Hamburg.
Mr. Below got the Quality Prize because of his active commitment in co-organizing complex processes in the area of object management. He developed an automated user-optimized service management tool to implement a quality management system at all DLR sites.
Mr. Lehner, the 2nd laureate of the year 2013, developed an individual management system by use of newest technical equipment. Thus, a user-optimized and simple platform was created realizing the institute’s processes.
DLR Vice-Chairman, Mr. Klaus Hamacher, and the Quality Management Representative, Mrs. Britta Schade, thanked both laureates for their personal commitment.
