On November 29th, the Quality Prize was awarded for the fifth time in the course of DLR’s Annual General Meeting (photo 1).

The following criteria are basis for selection of award-winners:

commitment to excellence with respect to systematic quality assurance and quality management to the advantage of DLR;
specific merits with respect to introduction and consistent implementation of quality management within their departments and within their areas of responsibility with regard to quality improvement of both DLR’s products and services.

DLR Vice-Chairman, Mr Klaus Hamacher, and the DLR Quality Management Representative, Mrs M. Scheuer-Leeser, awarded the Quality Prize 2007 to

Mrs Heidrun Orlicek, staff member of DLR Administrative Infrastructure in Cologne. She receives the award representing her entire team (photo 2);
Dr. Stefan Buckreuss, research fellow of DLR Microwave and Radar Institute Oberpfaffenhofen (photo 3);
Mr Wolfgang Balzer, research fellow of DLR Remote Sensing Technology Center in Oberpfaffenhofen(photo 3);
Mr Achim Kern, Hagen Consulting § Training GmbH in Siegburg, DGQ Trainer (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität) (photo 4).
