Regarding expanding competition, a sophisticated quality management system is a key success factor. Inter alia, excellent quality management systems support the high standard in DLR’s research activities.
DLR’s Quality Management Representative is the internal and external point of contact concerning quality matters. In addition to the management responsibility for the Quality and Product Assurance Department, the Quality Management Representative has been entrusted with the compliance, maintenance, and improvement of DLR’s quality management system by the Executive Board.
In cooperation with the Permanent Working Group of Quality Representatives, DLR’s Quality Management Representative prepares strategies to enhance the existing system towards a sustainable integrated management system. Decision maker is the Quality Board of the Executive Board predefining DLR’s quality objectives. The primary objective of this board is to ensure a consistently high quality standard.
