Mobile Infrastructure

As per definition, all equipment has to be mobile and is therefore integrated in standard 20 ft containers or movable on wheels. With the existing facilities a launch range for sounding rockets can be set up at any place around the world. Typical set up time is in the order of two weeks.
The equipment can be split in four main groups according to their application.

Launchers


At present three launchers for sounding rockets and one launcher for balloons are operated.

Tracking Stations


MORABA operates two Precision Instrumentation Tracking Radars for trajectory measurement of balloons, aircraft, and sounding rockets, as well as orbit determination of Space Shuttle and satellites.

TM/TC Stations


The Mobile Rocket Base has two telemetry stations which are fully mobile and can be set up at virtually any site on the globe. They are self contained and adaptable to a variety of special configurations.
