As sounding rocket payloads contain sophisticated experiment and house keeping hardware it is very effective from an economical point of view, to recover the payload and refly units again.
On micro-gravity payloads recovery is usually mandatory to process samples after flight. Three different types of recovery systems have been developed. These are aft recovery; mid-payload recovery and nose cone recovery systems. All three types are available for land recovery and with a floating device for sea recovery. Recoverable payload weight varies from 100 to 1000 kg.
