As part of the external payload platform SOLAR on the European ISS module Columbus SolACES measures the solar EUV/UV radiation and its temporal variability with unprecedented accuracy. Combined with the results of the instruments SOLSPEC und SOVIM SolACES will provide new insight into the physics of the Sun and further our knowledge of solar-terrestrial relations and the ionosphere of the Earth.
