MicrOmega on MASCOT: Preparing to visit an asteroid

in 2018 the Japanese Hayabusa 2 Mission will feature an asteroid landing and will, for the first time, allow for data acquisition at various points of this kind of celestial body, assisted by MASCOT, the hopping landing craft developed by the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR).

Zur Association of Space Explorers (ASE) gehören rund 400 Raumfahrer aus 35 Ländern. Mehr als 80 von ihnen werden vom 1. bis 5. Juli 2013 in Köln versammelt sein, um am 26. "Planetaren Kongress" teilzunehmen, den dieses Jahr das DLR-Institut für Luft- und Raumfahrtmedizin ausrichtet.

ADS-B over satellite – first aircraft tracking from space

An A320 overflying Scotland was the first aircraft 'seen' from space by a new receiver from the German Aerospace Centre (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR), proving that tracking aircraft from space is possible.

Successful premiere – STEREX video shows ATV-4 in orbit

A special passenger was on board during the launch of ESA's fourth ATV 'Albert Einstein', on 5 June 2013 at 23:52 CEST – the STEREX experiment, funded by DLR Space Administration and European Space Agency (ESA).
