INTEGRAL - Das europäische Gamma-Observatorium
Das International Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory (INTEGRAL) ist ein Weltraumobservatorium für astronomische Beobachtungen im Gammastrahlungs-Bereich. Die Gammastrahlung stellt die energiereichste Form elektromagnetischer Strahlung dar. Sie entsteht in vielen kosmischen Objekten, in denen gewaltige Energiemengen freigesetzt werden.
