This morning, the Berlin Air Show 2006 (ILA) was opened. In a special Space Pavilion, using the motto "Space For Life", the German Aerospace Center (DLR), together with its partners, the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI) and the European Space Agency (ESA) presents missions and experiments from German and European space travel.

Amongst other subjects, Europe's strongest booster rocket Ariane 5 ECA is featured alongside the European space laboratory 'Columbus', fascinating images from the Mars Express mission, Mars Rovers and satellite technology.
