COUNTDOWN 14
Titelthema von COUNTDOWN 14 ist das Verbundprojekt QUANTUS III. Kühlt man eine Wolke aus mehreren tausend Einzelatomen bis in die Nähe des absoluten Nullpunkts ab, so entsteht ein millimetergroßes "Riesenatom" - ein Bose-Einstein-Kondensat (BEC). Das Projekt soll es unter anderem ermöglichen, BEC im Weltall zu erforschen und so Einsteins Relativitätstheorie auf den Prüfstand zu stellen.
