Simulation of the flow around EXPERT during atmospheric re-entry. The ceramic matrix composite nose cap developed by the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) in Stuttgart is a central component of the European experimental re-entry vehicle EXPERT (European Experimental Re-entry Testbed), which will complete its maiden flight in 2010.
