German ESA astronaut Hans Schlegel brought the Columbus space laboratory to the ISS, DLR energy researchers succeeded in generating hydrogen using concentrated solar radiation, DLR engineers developed the train of the future, and the avionics system of DLR’s ATRA research aircraft was powered by zero-emission fuel cell technology for the first time.
