Two culture tubes with the Phycomyces blakesleeanus fungus. Growing in the approximately four-centimetre-long glass tubes is the fungus that was studied in the University of Marburg’s experiment. The yellow, club-shaped fruiting bodies protrude beyond the edge of the glass.
