Development of a simulator for the tele-operation control of a docking maneuver between two satellites in geostationary orbit

The following text refers to the OLEV project (see Ongoing Space Robotics Missions). A real-time simulation is under development for the analysis of docking maneuvers in geostationary orbit. Attention is given to the effects arising from:

  • Orbital disturbances
  • Dynamic interaction between the spacecraft attitude control and the solar panels attached to the spacecraft (see figure)
