ATV Albert Einstein In-Flight-Call Event

A conversation with the ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano live from the ISS

On October 24, the German Aerospace Center, together with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM), is holding an in-flight call at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ). The ESA astronaut, Luca Parmitano, who was the first Italian to conduct extravehicular activity in space on July 9, 2013, will connect to the LRZ live via video link from the International Space Station ISS.

The event and transmission of the live link will take place simultaneously at three different locations, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, TUM and Politecnico di Milano in Italy. Following local greetings, lectures will be held at the different broadcast locations via the live link. After a lunch break, at 3:30 pm there will be greetings by all locations and the ATV-4 mission will be presented. In addition, the ESA Director of Human Spaceflight and Operations, Thomas Reiter, will hold a brief introduction on Human Spaceflight and Exploration. At 4:45 pm, the live in-flight call with astronaut Luca Parmitano will begin.
