The mobile robot EDAN (EMG-controlled daily assistant) is an assistive robotics system for people with severe motor impairments. The robot is controlled using muscle signals. Its integrated shared-autonomy capabilities facilitate everyday tasks such as drinking from a glass.
The MICA is a versatile instrument for minimally invasive robotic surgery. Being a 3DoF-robot, it is attached to the MIRO arm and extends the kinematic chain by three joints. In 2010 the MICA was presented to the public for the first time.
The DLR MIRO is a versatile robotic arm for medical applications, which was in 2008 presented to the public for the first time.
The DLR MiroSurge is a molular system for minimally invasive robotic telesurgery. It combines several robotic components, including three robot arms MIRO and at least two instruments MICA. In 2010 MiroSurge was presented to the public for the first time.
