The AeroGrid project aims at providing an efficient Grid based working environment for the national aerospace research community. BIRD - Bispectral InfraRed Detection microsatellite mission
Within the Bird project a small satellite was developed, which is equipped with infrared sensor technology to detect high temperature events on earth. DLR Simulation and Software Technology supported the DLR Institute of Space Sensor Technology and Planetary Exploration in this project with the software technical development of the satellite attitude control system.

EmotionAAL - Ambient Assisted Living

The complexity of high-technology systems development has increased hugely in recent years. SiLEST- Software in the Loop for Embedded System Test
In this project, a framework for automatic tests of safety-critical software to be used in embedded systems has been developed. It supports all kinds of X-in-the-Loop tests. The generic execution environment helps to decrease the test expense considerably.
