Locations - How to get to us
SHT Location Berlin
The head office of the Systemhaus Technik (SHT) is located at the Berlin-Adlershof site of the German Aerospace Agency (DLR) and managed by Peter Georgino. Efficient and state-of-the-art SHT workshops at five DLR locations in Brunswick, Göttingen, Cologne-Porz, Stuttgart and Oberpfaffenhofen are available to support the research activities of all DLR institutes and facilities. The SHT sites are grouped into three regions (North, West and South) according to their key areas of functional and technical expertise, and offer experiment support on site as a basic service.

SHT Location Brunswick (North Region)
The main areas of functional and technical expertise of the North Region are in the fields of model making and fibre-composite materials for transportation, aeronautics and space travel. At the Brunswick site, the focus is on developing highly automated, intelligent and lightweight systems by means of extreme lightweight construction, and on powerful tools for designing economic low-noise aircraft. Advice is provided to industrial users of fibre-composite materials, and fibre-composite techniques are demonstrated in powerful experimental and simulation facilities and at the SHT workshops. The SHT contacts for the Brunswick location are Andreas Bohle, Regional Manager of SHT North, and Björn Köhnke, Assistant Regional Manager of SHT North.

SHT Location Göttingen (North Region)
In addition to the fields of model making and fibre-composite materials, the SHT site in Göttingen specialises in experiment support (flow mechanics/aerodynamics). Numerous test facilities, four wind tunnels of DNW (a joint subsidiary of DLR and the Dutch NLR) and various measurement techniques are available at the Göttingen site for working on flow concepts for aeronautics and space travel, energy and transportation using experimental and numerical simulation methods. The main customer for these tests, which are predominantly geared towards measurements performed in the course of research experiments, is DLR. The SHT contacts for the Göttingen location are Andreas Bohle, Regional Manager of SHT North, and Björn Köhnke, Assistant Regional Manager of SHT North.

SHT Location Cologne-Porz (West Region)
The West Region specialises in test bed and wind tunnel engineering and in mechanical production. The Systemhaus Technik (SHT) at the Cologne-Porz site concentrates on optimising drive systems with the aim of reducing emission values while at the same time increasing performance and reliability. This work is supported by a vast number of large-scale test facilities such as wind tunnels, engine test beds and materials test stands; the site’s close physical proximity to the European Transonic Wind Tunnel (ETW), Europe's most modern and powerful wind tunnel, is also an advantage. The SHT contacts for the Cologne-Porz site are Markus Boje, Regional Manager of SHT West, and Manfred Bunde, Assistant Regional Manager SHT West.

SHT Location Stuttgart (South Region)
The range of services offered by the SHT South Region includes development and construction services for the DLR research institutes and facilities, and product manufacturing in the fields of electronics, precision mechanics and mechatronics. Contacts for the Stuttgart location are Peter Schanz, Regional Manager SHT South, and Wolfgang Böhnisch, Assistant Regional Manager SHT South.

SHT Location Oberpfaffenhofen (South Region)
The Systemhaus Technik (SHT) can also be found at one of the largest DLR research centres, located at the Oberpfaffenhofen site. The range of services offered by the SHT South Region includes development and construction services for the DLR research institutes and facilities, and product manufacturing in the fields of electronics, precision mechanics (e.g. enhancing navigation systems) and mechatronics (further developing robot systems). Contacts for the Oberpfaffenhofen location are Peter Schanz, Regional Manager SHT South, and Wolfgang Böhnisch, Assistant Regional Manager SHT South.
