Organized by DLR and the EU-funded project Stack-Test, 65 participants out of 15 countries across Europe, Northern America, and Asia came together at the Stuttgart Engineering Park (STEP) on 3rd and 4th of June.
The international workshop was focused on the harmonization of test procedures for the research and validation of PEMFC stacks, single cells, and their components. Due to the importance of this topic for comparable characterization in industry and science a wide range of experts participated in this workshop. The scientists have discussed the technical and scientific requirements to achieve the reliability of PEMFC testing needed for the further development of stacks and stack components.
The participants on the International Workshop on PEMFC Stack and Stack Component Testing.
Presentations of the newest developments on test procedures were given by representatives of research institutes, universities as well as PEMFC industry for automotive, stationary and portable applications. Thereby, the workshop was focused on performance, durability and safety testing as well as analytical tools. The achievements and further requirements for harmonized test procedures have been discussed. The results have been summarized to facilitate the development of consistent procedures, one of the main objectives for the EU-funded project Stack-Test. Therefore, the summarized results of the workshop will be taken into account for the further development of the procedures prepared by Stack-Test .
