International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)
Project Duration: May –July 2013
Contact: Dr Tobias Naegler
One of the targets of United Nations Secretary-General’s initiative „Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL)“ is to double the share of renewable energies until 2030 in the global energy mix. To help the IRENA member states to explore pathways towards the achievement of this RE target, IRENA has designed an inclusive and open process to develop a global Renewable Energy Roadmap (REMAP 2030). It is envisaged that REMAP 2030, to be annually updated, will be a valuable tool to support Members’ renewable energy planning and international cooperation activities. It will also serve as a global compass to coordinate and synthesise renewable energy activities within the context of the SE4ALL initiative.
