Overview:
An often posed question is the “overall” effect of investments in renewable energies on employment and the economy. For calculating the net-effects one needs to develop a scenario, where most of the support mechanisms are no longer in effect or have never been in effect. This “as-if” scenario requires careful thought and one important part of this follow-up project (see LINK ZUM ARBEITSPLÄTZEPROJEKT, kann ich noch nicht anlegen). Another interesting question is the employment effect of public funding of research, development, institutional organization that goes into the renewable energies. These results as well as the results of the preceding study will be presented at an international workshop on employment and renewable energy (forthcoming in May 2007).
