Passenger Transport

Increasing individual mobility requirements have led to continual growth in the passenger transport system.The institute studies not just these mobility requirements and their causes, but also how they are changed or influenced. This includes analyzing and evaluating mobility concepts, studying the acceptance and degrees of success in introducing technology-based mobility services and assessing the effectiveness of transport-relevant measures to affect behavior.

Commercial Transport

The deployment of commercial transport (freight and passenger transport) is characterised by a high dynamic processes, specifically in Germany. The progressive globalization across countries at European level requires a trans-European consideration of today's regional and transregional commercial transport. Selected global relations have to be observed too.
