Dr.-Ing. Verena Ehrler joined the DLR Institute of Transport Research in September 2010. October 2010 to December 2013 she was Head of the Department of Commercial Transport; since January 2014 she has been involved in various international and national projects on the topics of transport chain emission calculation, coordinating EU FP7 project COFRET Carbon Footprint of Freight Transport, chairing ISO IWA 16:2015, and heading research works of H2020 project LEARN Logistics Emission Accounting and Reduction Network. She established the topic of electromobility for commercial transport at DLR Institute of Transport research and was involved in several related projects, including Smart e-User, DisLog, Model Regions e-mobility, etc. Verena Ehrler focuses with her research on the impact of innovative ITS on supply and transport chains, including the topics of Physical Internet and sustainability of supply chains.
Furthermore, Verena Ehrler is lecturer at Wildau Institute of Technology, Germany, and at the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law of University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
