The Potsdamer Platz district is one of the most exciting and diverse places in the capital. Every day, up to 100,000 people come to this square to experience an extraordinary mix of art, entertainment, shopping.
The central location and high density of use of the quarter, require a sustainable mobility strategy. In the coming years, various innovative and cross-sector electromobility technologies, mobility concepts and business models are to be established at Potsdamer Platz. Potsdamer Platz Management GmbH (PPMG) is therefore working intensively on the resulting technical and organizational requirements.
Project
The project develops a publicly accessible communication and testing platform for new (electric) forms of mobility at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. Through this platform, the trust and acceptance of new technologies will be measured and tested. The basis for the testing is the daily use of electric vehicles and the infrastructure at Potsdamer Platz. Private and commercial users are to be involved. The following focal points have been set in the project, which will be implemented in various subprojects:
