Collaboration



Research in the area of high temperature coatings is done in close collaboration with partners in industry and research. We work on both bi-lateral or multi-partnership projects. Some examples of currents or finished multi-partnership projects are given below:

  • EU-Project: Research Training Network RTN2-2001-00488, "Structural integrity of ceramic multilayers and coatings (SICMAC)", 8 partners from research institutes and universities.

  • EU- Project: FP5 Growth, Project-No. G4RD-CT-2001-00504  “TBC+ New increased temperature capability TBCs”, 6 industrial partners und 4 research organizations under project management of Alstom Power

  • BMBF Verbundprojekt (BEO) „MARCKO: Methoden zur Lebensdauervorhersage von Wärmedämm- und Oxidationsschutzschichten", 6 partners from industry and research, project management Siemens KWU (http://www.ptj-jahresbericht.de/ , Förderkennzeichen 0327068D)
  • HGF Strategiefondsprojekt „Gasturbine - Innovative Werkstoffsysteme zur Wirkungsgradsteigerung von stationären Gasturbinen und Flugtriebwerken“, under DLR project management, 4 Helmholtz- research centers were involved

  • MaTech-project, Förderkennzeichen 03N2017,  „Wärmedämmschichten für Oberflächentemperaturen >1350°C“, project management Siemens AG, 5 other partners from industry and research organizations

  • DARA-supported (Land Bayern) „Entwicklung fortschrittlicher EB-PVD-WDS für höchste mechanische und thermomechanische Beanspruchungen für Turbinenschaufeln“, 3 partners from industry and research organizations

  • Technologieförderung Land Sachsen, „Wärmedämmschichten für Gasturbinenteile“, 4 partners from industry and research organizations

  • EU-Project, BRITE/EURAM 3, Project-No. BRPR960338, „HITS High Insulation TBCs“ 4 industrial partners and 5 research organizations under project management of Snecma Moteurs
