25th PIV Course - Application of Particle Image Velocimetry - Theory and Practice
The main interest of todays research in fluid mechanics is more and more directed to problems where unsteady and separated flows are predominant. For investigations of flow fields with pronounced spatial structures and/or rapid temporal or spatial changes (transition from laminar to turbulent flow, coherent structures, pitching airfoils in transonic flows with shocks, rotors, test facilities with short run time, etc.) new experimental techniques, such as Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) are required which allow to capture the flow velocity of large flow fields instantaneously.
High-Performance Computing and Networking (HPCN) Workshop 2020

We hope to see you at the HPCN-Workshop 2021!------------------------------- High Performance Computing is a key enabler for the numerical simulation of aerodynamics and multidisciplinary simulation as well as optimization of aircraft /spacecraft vehicles and their components. The essential need of tailored HPC-systems in aerospace requires a close cooperation of the application side with providers of these systems.
8th PSP Course - Application of Pressure Sensitive Paint - Theory and Practice
The PSP technique has also evolved from the measurement of steady state pressures to include both periodic and unsteady phenomena to study the instantaneous structure of pressure fields in various areas of fluid mechanics. This course, which is the eighth one on PSP organized by DLR Göttingen, Germany, will concentrate on both measurement techniques and aspects of the theory of PSP relevant to applications.
EURO-PAR Conference 2019 in Göttingen
For many years Euro-Par has been established as one of the most important High Performance Computing Conferences. The conference series celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019. Euro-Par is the prime European conference covering all aspects of parallel and distributed processing, ranging from theory to practice, from small to the largest parallel and distributed systems and infrastructures, from fundamental computational problems to full-fledged applications, from architecture, compiler, language and interface design and implementation, to tools, support infrastructures, and application performance aspects.
Microphone Arrays for Aeroacoustic Measurements
Aim of the MA|AM course is to improve the knowledge for the practical application of microphone array measurements in wind tunnels, including the post-processing and the interpretation of the achieved results. Test engineers can participate to obtain the necessary knowledge to improve the quality of aeroacoustic measurements with microphone arrays and prevent costly errors. Contractors and end-users of array measurement results will learn how to assess the potential of aeroacoustic wind tunnel measurements and how to interpret the achieved results appropriately.
