SemCollect is a software tool for the automated acquisition of measurement data from a wind tunnel experiment.
It has three interfaces:
A typical measurement data point is acquired in the following way: the wind tunnel computer starts the measurement sequence by sending to Sem Collect a value for a previously defined tunnel run parameter. SemCollect then instructs all data acquisition systems to carry out a measurement, the results of which are then read. These data are then stored in a dynamic file system, which the processing software then accesses to carry out the analysis.
SemCollect has been used for many years in wind tunnel experiments.
SemCollect runs under Linux and Solaris environments.
