Atmospheric liner test rig (DUct aCoustic Test rig, DUCT)
The atmospheric test facility consists of two symmetrical microphone sections with the test object in the middle. The DUCT is equipped with anechoic terminations at both ends in order to suppress acoustic end-reflections. A radial compressor provides the main air flow. There are three test rig configurations available with circular, square and rectangular cross-sections in order to examine plane as well as circular liner geometries. The measurements are performed under ambient temperature and pressure conditions.
Circular cross-section (DUCT-C)
Square cross-section (DUCT-S)
Rectangular cross-section (DUCT-R)
