The Fibre Placement Cell is used to research tape laying and fibre placement processes such as Automated Fibre Placement. An industrial robot on a linear axis together with a rotary unit enable the building of demonstrator parts with a total length of up to 6 m and a height of 3 m. Currently a thermoplastic AFP and a Dry Fibre Placement head are available on-site.
