DLR laboratory MASCOT aboard the Hayabusa2 spacecraft
The Hayabusa2 spacecraft will study asteroid Ryugu (1999 JU3) from orbit. On board is MASCOT (Mobile Asteroid Surface Scout), the lander developed by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) that will conduct on site measurements using four instruments on Ryugu's surface.
