Agreement on collaboration on the satellite-based measurement of greenhouse gases
On signing the agreement, Germany and Japan will work together in future on the monitoring of greenhouse gases in order to determine local sources and sinks of gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and carbon monoxide. The agreement was signed by Naoki Okumura, President of the Japanese space agency JAXA, Chair of the DLR Executive Board and Gerd Gruppe, DLR Executive Board Member responsible for the Space Administration.
