Lud­wig Prandtl (1875-1953) with his wa­ter test chan­nel in Han­nover, 1904. Prandtl found­ed the Mod­el Test­ing In­sti­tute in Göt­tin­gen and is re­gard­ed as the ‘fa­ther of aero­dy­nam­ics’.
