The Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics at DLR has more than 150 employees and conducts research in the field of efficient and resource-saving energy storage and energy conversion technologies of the next generation. In the "Energy Systems Analysis" division, we address a broad spectrum of issues related to energy economics and energy policy.
With your work, you are pursuing our common goal of investigating the macroeconomic effects of energy and climate policies on various economic sectors. In an interdisciplinary team, you will prepare data that will be used in energy and macroeconomic models. You will develop research questions and design a macroeconomic analysis tool which, in addition to classical economic correlations, takes particular account of innovation dynamics. You will present the results of your work to the scientific community via publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals and conference papers and thus represent the institute on a national and international level. Depending on your qualifications, you will supervise master's theses and dissertations if required.
