  • examination of existing machine learning methods for high-resolution geodata
  • development of approaches for data mining, knowledge discovery, and anomaly detection in geodata
  • development of methods for quality assurance in machine learning models (e.g. uncertainty modeling, stability appraisal, interpretation aids)
  • experiments to validate the developed methods
  • evaluation and interpretation of experimental results under comparison of various methods
  • implementation in prototypical algorithms
  • thorough documentation for scientific users with a special focus on researchers in other domains
  • presentation and discussion of results at national and international conferences
  • publication of results at suitable venues

Suited candidates may conduct these tasks in fulfillment of a Ph.D. degree.

  • very good programming skills, preferably in Python
  • strong background in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or related fields
  • excellent English language skills
  • experience with geo-data processing or handling of multimodal data is an asset

Your benefits:

Look forward to a fulfilling job with an employer who appreciates your commitment and supports your personal and professional development.
